Oakland Local (oaklandlocal.com)
the hyperlocal site I founded, has always had GREAT facebook traffic
and engagement--in fact, a recent social media survey by the city of
Oakland found that the 879 respondents said we were the Oakland-focused
page they were MOST engaged with on facebook. But--in the last
week--the number of impressions reported on our stories has plummeted
from an average of 1,000 to oh, 42 (!!!) and there are NO comments--very
atypical.
Could there be something wrong with how Oakland Local is showing up in
FB search results? Could there have been a bug fix around the 22nd that
created a problem no one has yet discovered?
I have made a powerpoint
with some representative screen grabs of the fall off--anyone with ideas on what's happening, please give a shout.

In fact, Oakland Local is very much supportive of Facebook and its ads. No wonder why you found them to have so much of Facebook traffic as well as involvement. Anyway, I am quite surprised to learn the fact that there is some problem with Oakland Local as it shows only a few correspondents. You might want to ask them so as to make sure whether everything is working perfectly. Anyway, I’ll update you on what I can find! Has anyone tried coop systems for any backup jobs? any reviews on them?
