Blogging again?

| | Comments (0)
Lately, I've had the urge to start blogging again. Despite Oakland Local, tumblr, twitter, facebook and who knows what else, it is starting to feel like there are things to say I need a place to put.  Some of them are observations on tech, social media and future of news--my professional interests--and others are really personal--what I might want to be doing 5 years from now, the way I am trying to change my eating habits and increase my exercise, thoughts on the world that are more than 140 characters.

I'm just about to decide--this is the place.

For 7 years, Susan Mernit's blog was my tech home, but once I started Oakland Local in 2009 I abandoned writing about tech, big time in favor of doing a very absorbing--and poorly paid--start up. And, of course, I trashed my traffic.

So, maybe this is the moment to start again, when things can a) only go up and b) I'm writing for myself, not an audience.

Welcome to the big show, friends. Throw some ideas against the wall and let's see what sticks.
