Kami Griffiths sends this along:
"Do you use the Internet in your everyday life? Do you want to show other people useful Internet sites, help them get online and give them technical advice? You can help increase Internet use and access during OneWebDay on September 22!

Join CTN Bay Area, Access Now, the City of San Francisco and our partners to help people get online at a OneWebDay event. Check out the full list of volunteer opportunities at www.ctnbayarea.org/owd.

Here are some ways you can help:
  • Diagnose technical problems for Cantonese-speaking seniors in the Sunset District
  • Learn how to train parents how to use School Loop, the SFUSD communications tool
  • Help Spanish-speakers learn useful websites for job search, health information and parenting advice
  • Install wireless Internet access for a public housing site in Potrero Hill

If you have any projects that you want to include on our event calendar, please contact Kari Gray (kehgray@gmail.com). For more information or to search volunteer opportunities, visit www.ctnbayarea.org/owd."
