Two opportunities worth sharing about:

Ethnic Media Fellowship, deadline March 23, Program in L.A. and Chicago to Explore U.S. Environmental Justice Issues

USC Annenberg`s Institute for Justice and Journalism is seeking 10 accepting ethnic media journalists eager to learn and cover urban environmental justice issues. A $1,000 stipend will be paid to each Fellow upon successful completion of the fellowship project. All program expenses are covered by IJJ from a grant from the McCormick Foundation.

The rylez: Applicants must be employed by ethnic media news organizations or be
independent journalists who regularly cover ethnic communities in the
U.S. or racial justice issues.

This is the second year of a program focused on funding women-led projects with 10,000 seed grants in 2009.
