So I am reading New Visions of Love by the amazing feminist scholar bell hooks and loving it.
On a parallel track, I'm starting to ask myself the following questions:
- Is there a feminism of technology?
- What does it mean to be both a feminist and a tech geek?
- If technologies were feminist, would would that mean?
- How do technology, feminism and gender politics fit together? (This one totally sparked by the intense admiration Annalee Newitz, Barb Dywad and Gina Trapani received at BlogHer.)
If anyone has writers I can be reading who are thinking about these questions, please send them my way.

You might look at Donna Haraway who has done a lot of work on feminism and cyborg studies. Cynthia Selfe and Gail Hawisher have also done work in women's studies and technical environments.
Also, I remember reading a great book called Nattering on the Net about ten years ago by Dale Spender. Must look up what she's been working on since. It looked particularly at the gendering of language in online interaction.
