Playing with Mahalo: The buddy list

| | Comments (3)

I've been playing with Mahalo, the *hand-crafted* search engine and am having a great time checking out who Jason Calcanis is close to, based on who has a *hand-crafted* search results page so early on in the product life.

Would you be surprised to see that big bloggers Dave Winer, Robert Scoble, Jeff Jarvis, Doc Searls are well represented?

How about AOLers Ted Leonsis, Jonathan Miller, Brian Alvey?

Yep, they're loaded in.

But Howard Rheingold,, Cory Doctorow, Marc Andressen, Lisa Stone--nah, nowhere on the service.

Do you have to live in LA or be a buddy of Jason's to get a page?

Susan,

Thanks for checking out Mahalo. We're still in Alpha phase, so of course haven't been able to cover all the top searches yet. However, I thought you'd like to know that we are building your queries as we speak, and I welcome you to check them out as our guides build them in real time:

Thanks again for your feedback.

Mahalo!

Jonathan

Mahalof or checking out the site Susan!

I asked one of my folks to do the top bloggers and podcasters, but didn't tell them which ones. Howard, Cory, Marc, and Lisa should all be in there and they will be shortly!

Looking forward to your thoughts on the site going forward.

Jason

My apologies. I mispelled a name. The correct link is: http://www.mahalo.com/Marc_Andreessen

Thanks again for your comments.
