Identity Woman rocks the Merc

| | Comments (2)

Kaylia Hamlin, aka Identitywoman, is in the Merc this week as a facilitator for Mashup Camp's unconference. The reporter says that organizers Dave Berlind and Doug Gold "have formed a company, Mass Events Labs, to organize more unconferences, including a third Mashup Camp this fall on the campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology."

Doesn't this circle back to my definition of unconferences?

There is no such thing. As soon as an event with an audience exists, it is worth something. So, why resist making the event better? Why resist taking money to make it better? And finally, why not turn it into a business, make good money at it and make more events better?
